The new Tenneco “B-connected” fleet will build on the success of the company’s multi-year Tenneco On Tour technical education experience, which helped thousands of industry professionals learn about the latest Monroe ride performance and suspension and Walker® clean air technologies and a variety of next-generation original equipment products and systems.
The Tenneco xpo Cruiser vans will be driven by highly skilled technical service professionals with extensive knowledge about modern ride performance, suspension and clean air technologies. These professionals will provide diagnostic and repair tips and other support to workshop professionals while gaining insight into the latest service requirements being faced in the service bay.
“We will use this insight to advance our development of replacement products that help customers be more proficient and successful in servicing a wide variety of original equipment products and systems,” said Olivier Schyns, Marketing Director, Tenneco EMEA Aftermarket. “These on-site visits will also help set the stage for an innovative Monroe ride performance technology that will be introduced within the European marketplace later this year. This is all a part of our commitment to being ‘connected’ with every customer who relies on our products.”
Monroe will play a doubly important role in the new fleet in 2016, which marks the brand’s 100th anniversary. The fleet includes eye-catching black-and-yellow Mini Cooper models on top of which sit giant, simulated Monroe shock absorbers. These promotional vehicles will serve two purposes – enhancing awareness of the Monroe brand’s anniversary among European drivers and bringing Monroe promotional information to automotive distributor and workshop locations.
“Monroe is an iconic brand of ride control and suspension technologies – a brand that has come to define its category in many regions around the world,” Schyns said. “Our new fleet, and the Mini Coopers in particular, are designed to expand the awareness of our extensive OE presence in the ride control marketplace while celebrating the massive popularity of Monroe products worldwide.”
